Dave Dutra’s love for professional wrestling started at the young age of 5 when he caught first glimpse of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage on his television screen. From that day forward, he knew professional wrestling was something he had to do. He watched wrestling religiously for the next 15 years when he caught wind of a local independent wrestling promotion hosting an open tryout to become a professional wrestler. Pro Wrestling Iron in Hayward, CA, would offer free training to the winner of the contest.

The judges would consist of Michael Modest, Donovan Morgan, Frank Murdoch, and Mike “Crash Holly” Lockwood. After all the drills and tests, Dave Dutra was announced the winner and started training under the Pro Wrestling Iron “Dojo”. Dave trained for 6 months before taking time away from wrestling for personal reasons. In 2007, he was ready to continue his training and called up All Pro Wrestling to enroll in their renowned “Boot Camp” program. Dave spent the following 11 months training under veteran wrestlers Robert Thompson, J.J. Perez, and Larry Blackwell. On November 8, 2008, Dave made his professional debut in Brentwood, CA, facing off against Larry Blackwell for the Nicolas Gordon Benefit Show. With the APW Boot Camp typically being a 2-year program, Dutra became the 2nd fastest graduate in the school’s history graduating in just over 10 months.

Since then Dave has continued his pursuit to “make it” in the world of professional wrestling. He’s wrestled for over 15 promotions across the western United States and Mexico. His major influences include Shawn Michaels, Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Curt Hennig, Jake Roberts, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. Dutra’s greatest goal is to one day, have the ability to make a living doing what he loves: Entertaining audiences in a pro wrestling ring!
